What did I do
I communicated with the client, worked on storyboard, concept art, architecture and design.
Shark
A 4K projection on a shark model offers interactive exploration with flashlights. In standby, the shark swims naturally, accompanied by facts. A flashlight reveals internal organs or skeleton, shifting every two minutes. Key spots trigger detailed captions, turning the display into a mix of science and spectacle.
Deepsea path
A 30-meter corridor projects the ocean floor, filled with virtual fish. In standby, it shows a calm seascape with small fish and shadows of larger ones. When active, cameras track visitors and guide them with arrows of glowing fish, occasionally revealing big marine silhouettes. If guests stop, the shoal forms an arrow, pointing the way. Mascots Happy the Cat and Xiang Yang sometimes appear to join the scene.
Ecosystem
Visitors can explore the food chain of an aquarium. They can also add new creatures to the digital biome — choose a species, set its color, and release it into the environment. These creatures interact with others, expanding the virtual ecosystem in real time.
Ice rink
A central projection reveals an under-ice world as visitors glide across the rink. Silhouettes of fish and whales swim beneath, triggered by marked points. In standby, the rink shows a frozen seascape with fish beneath the surface. When active, it splits into three marine zones, each reacting to guest movements with glowing plankton projections.
Futuristic Profession
A physical robot recognizes guests and reveals personalized profiles. In standby, it roams the area subtly. When active, it runs two modes — scanning and identification — showing guest photos, profession details, and general data. At times, an alarm screen adds intrigue by flagging errors through playful UI prompts.
